I have a very talented sister. Last year, she and her best friend started a beautiful clothing line called Crow’s Nest Knits. Tonight, I had the privilege of shooting some of their 2011 autumn collection. As much as I’d absolutely love to show you all of the images right now, I’ll hold off, because something even better is in store for those pictures: their new website! Hopefully, we’ll have it all up and running in a few weeks. You should start saving now, because you’re going to want to purchase a thing or two. Trust me.
Every once in a while, I’ve uploaded some of the photos I’ve taken with my iPhone to my blog. Since I always have it on me, I like how I eventually end up with a bit of a narrative composed of those seemingly inconsequential life moments.

Read more about Aaron+Tara’s wedding in my initial post here, as I’ll let these images simply speak for themselves. I have been so fortunate to have photographed many incredible weddings this summer, and this one is certainly a new favourite. Congratulations, again, my friends!
When I was contacted to photograph an August bridal shower at the Rutherford House a number of months ago, I knew that I would enjoy myself, considering it’s such a fantastic venue in Edmonton. What I was not anticipating, however, was just how beautifully put together the entire event would be. Megan has some phenomenal friends with absolutely wonderful taste! Here’s what I was able to capture in the couple of hours I spent celebrating with them.
It was so lovely to meet you, Megan, Mel, and company! I genuinely had a great time.
If anyone in Edmonton is interested in a historical, timeless place to host an event in the city, the Rutherford house is a great option, and the staff really could not be better. :) For more information, I’d highly suggest browsing their website here.
Enjoy the long weekend, everyone, and look for a full post of Aaron and Tara’s wedding coming in the next day or two!
It’s always a lot of fun to photograph people I have known for a long time. And Kaitlyn is one of those friends. She and Nathan chose two of the most stunning venues in Edmonton to house their ceremony and reception, and I am excited to begin tackling their photos in the next couple of week. In the meantime, here are two previews.
I am so happy I could be a part of your day, my friends! I hope your trip to Italy is fantastic.
When Elaina and Matt asked me to be their wedding photographer this summer, I could not have been more excited. Who wouldn’t want to photograph a wedding party full of their close friends, in a stunning city, with an extremely creative couple at the forefront? Much of this wedding was crafted by Elaina herself, and both she and Matt ensured that as much of their interests and personalities infused the day as possible. Additionally, several of their talented friends contributed to the festivities, such as the maid of honour, Jenica, who designed and sewed the lovely bridesmaid dresses; and the exceptional musical talents of Evan Acheson, Aidan Knight, and Julia Wakal - who helped shape the feel of the ceremony immensely. Thank you so much, Elaina and Matt, for asking me to travel all the way to Kelowna to document this for you. It was such a phenomenal day.
To view the engagement photos I shot for E+M in downtown Vancouver last year, please visit my album on FB. And, last but not least, I would highly recommend you check out those Canadian musicians. You will not be disappointed.
I realize this is a huge post, but I just couldn’t whittle it down much more than this. I hope you’ll find it worth your time, however. :) All best,
This wedding, along with another I recently shot, will be the first I plan on submitting to various wedding blogs and magazines in the near future. Let’s see if I can get my first feature!
And, speaking of features, I also intend to dedicate a post to a friend of mine, Liseann, in the next couple of weeks. She is an exceptionally talented florist in Edmonton, and was responsible for the flowers at Naomi and Ammanuel’s celebration. I was so impressed by her work, and I would love to share a bit more about her for those potentially looking to hire a florist. I will have some more detailed photographs of her creative arrangements from this particular day at that time.
