In August, I had the privilege of taking Kaitlyn and Nathan’s wedding photos. And what a lovely, summer day it was! I can’t quite believe my world was this green only a matter of weeks ago. In my opinion, these two really did it right. They chose two of the most beautiful venues in Edmonton, and had a fantastic, laid-back, stand-up lunch reception.
Thanks so much again, Kaitlyn and Nathan, for allowing me to be a part of your day in such a meaningful capacity. All best,
About a month ago, I mentioned in an initial post that I had the privilege of taking photographs for my sister’s knitting company. We’ve decided, the time is now right to release those images - hence this new post!
She’ll be selling her lovely wares at Edmonton’s phenomenal Royal Bison Art&Craft Show at the end of November, and will be starting up an Etsy account shortly thereafter to sell her things online. (For now, you can add her fan page on Facebook).
If you’re from Edmonton and have not yet checked out this bi-annual event, I would highly recommend it. There will be so many fantastic Christmas gift opportunities. Visit their official site for details. You may also notice that I am listed as a vendor, however, that is no longer the case. I will be taking off for Vancouver early on Sunday morning, and therefore won’t be able to sell prints as I’d hoped. They haven’t removed my name yet, but hopefully I can participate in the spring show. I will still be there on Saturday, though, with my zine group, so please stop by and say hello!
Without further ado, I give you Crow’s Nest Knits. Best,
Today, I had the privilege of taking family photos for some dear friends of mine, the Evans, as well as some engagement photos for Marisa and Matt. It was the most perfect October day, and I cannot believe the amount of green we were able to scout out. I swear some of these photos look like it could be June. (How I wish).
I’ve got two more fantastic sessions planned for tomorrow, and then I’m taking a bit of a hiatus from booking in order to edit the many images sitting on my computer. Not to mention attempting to finish up my degree in December. (Sorry, books, I’ve neglected you lately). Have a wonderful Saturday eve,
P.S. I am pretty sure I photographed the world’s most photogenic/beautiful person today. Marisa, you are stunning. I had a great time this afternoon, and am really looking forward to your guys’ picnic themed wedding in June!
I have been asked whether or not I sell prints quite a lot lately. So, I decided to finally make an online store available for those interested. Please visit my new Etsy account at www.etsy.com/shop/carmynjoy
Thank you so much! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to you, my friends.
Today was genuinely one of my all-time favourite weddings. My friend, Tiffany, is one of the most creative people I know, and the day certainly reflected every ounce of their flair. We took photographs in one of my favourite locations, during my most preferred time of day, and I am therefore more than excited about the results. I really look forward to sharing the rest of these with you several weeks from now.
Thank you so much, Tiffany and James. You put so much thought and originality into your day, and I am so honoured I could be a part of it. I loved it.
P.S. Tiffany is the author of a blog worth a fantastic follow. She’s quite the photographer herself.
This afternoon, I had the privilege of photographing Beth + Danny’s intimate ceremony, and spent some time with them afterwards - framed by a riot of fall colour - to take some portraits. I had such a great afternoon, Beth + Danny, and I hope you enjoyed celebrating with your family this evening.
Here a few favourites until I can get at the rest. Edmonton, you are pretty good at autumn.
There are few places I’d rather be in September than Alberta. I have such a love-affair with the fields this time of year, and find myself hazardously nearly drifting off the road, at times, because I’m so distracted by the gold and green around me.
Thanks so much for having me be a part of your day, K+M! It was lovely. Look for a full post in November. Happy Sunday, everyone.
